How to create a server Empty Re: How to create a server

This is a topic I would also like assistance in, I can get a server running locally no problem, but my brain is just too small to take on the port forwarding process alone. I have probably spent literally 12 hours on just trying to port forward unsuccessfully and it's pretty much lame as it gets. Thanks in advance to the awesome people who help me out with my dilemma.

Honestly I did it successfully with utter luck, don't ask for help here unless you have the same modem, every modem has a different process, some easier than others! Neutral

Port forwarding is simple, if you know where the settings are located, normally they're in your windows firewall config (if on a PC), or your router's config.

There's no exact way of telling you how to do it, as everyone's computer is different, and settings are scrambled all over the place, making it a huge inconvenience.

Java is used in the main process of the server... If that's what you're wanting to know, The server process is called java.exe
So that is probably your problem, but you have to also open the port 25565 in your firewall.
